Bag size by age

• 3 to 5: an 8 to 12 liter bag for toys and snacks
• 6 to 9: a 15 to 18 liter daypack
• 10 to 14: a 20 to 25 liter backpack

What to pack

Clothes for each day plus 2 extra, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, travel games, and snacks. Lots of them.
