Hanukkah Gift 2026: Suitcase, Bag or Wallet? Ideas by Who's Receiving It

Hanukkah 2026 begins on the evening of Friday, December 4, and lasts until December 12. A gift that gets used every week works well: a carry-on suitcase or packing cubes for someone who flies, a laptop backpack for a student or someone who works, and a card wallet with RFID protection as a small gift. Order early, so it arrives before the first candle is lit.

For someone who flies a lot

Someone who flies several times a year will be happy with something that saves money and time at the airport:

• A carry-on suitcase: the 20" Navigator weighs 2.5 kg, is made of polypropylene and comes with a 10 year warranty on the shell. A light suitcase leaves more of the cabin bag weight limit for clothes.
• River packing cube set: 6 pieces, 3 cubes for clothes and 3 pouches for accessories, shoes or laundry, with a total weight of 340 g. A gift that fits into any suitcase, including the one they already have.
• Aleksis travel pillow: memory foam that supports the neck on long flights, with a removable, washable cover.
• Aetheris AirTag wrist strap: a hidden slot for an AirTag, water-resistant, for anyone who wants to know where the suitcase or the child is at the airport. The AirTag itself is not included.

You will find more small accessory ideas in travel accessories.

For a student or someone who works on a laptop

A laptop backpack is a gift that gets used every day. Before you choose, find out the size of the recipient's laptop, because the padded compartment is built for a specific size:

• Orogeny 35 L: a padded compartment for laptops up to 16", a breathable back panel and a USB port for charging from a power bank (power bank not included). Weighs 300 g.
• The Satin Ultimate Max 28 L: a business look in water-repellent canvas, a compartment for laptops up to 16" and four main compartments.
• Berger: an everyday bag in water-resistant Oxford fabric, in two sizes: up to 14" and up to 16".
• For someone who prefers a shoulder bag: BONANZA Pro 2.0 in canvas, for 14" to 15" laptops, with a padded shoulder strap.

A small gift: a wallet

A wallet is an easy gift to buy even when you don't know sizes. Three directions:

• Slim Card Case v2: a pop-up card wallet weighing 80 g that ejects up to 7 cards at the push of a button, with RFID protection.
• Finder: a genuine leather wallet with an AirTag slot and a mechanism that ejects up to 6 cards, for someone who is always looking for their wallet.
• Mattia: a nappa leather wallet with 16 card slots and RFID protection, which comes in a gift box.

What RFID actually is and who needs it, we explained in the guide to card wallets and RFID protection. All wallets are in wallets.

Buying for someone else? A few things to check

• Laptop size: if the gift is a laptop bag, quietly check their screen size. A bag built for 16" will also hold a smaller laptop, but not the other way round.
• How they travel: someone who flies low-cost with a cabin bag only will be happy with a light suitcase. Someone who drives away for weekends will be happier with a soft travel bag.
• Color: black and gray are the safe choice. A bold color helps spot the suitcase on the carousel, but choose it only when you know it is the recipient's style.
• A gift from several people: a luggage set or a large suitcase is a good gift for several givers to share, for example for a couple before a trip.

Gifts for kids and teens

For kids who fly with their parents, a water-resistant AirTag wrist strap gives parents peace of mind at the airport, and a small AirTag holder hangs on the child's bag. For teens, a laptop backpack or a pop-up card wallet is a gift they will use every day, at school and at their activities.

For a couple or a family planning a flight

If the gift is for a trip together, a luggage set solves the whole journey at once. Navigator comes in sets of two, three and four suitcases, all with the same 10 year warranty on the shell. Add a set of packing cubes, and everyone knows where their clothes are.

How to make sure the gift arrives before Hanukkah

• Order early: for a gift that has to arrive by a specific date, check the delivery time shown at checkout and leave yourself some margin before the first night.
