I got caught in unexpected rain with it up north and my gear stayed completely dry. The fabric really does the job. Highly recommended for hikers.

An excellent bag with tons of room. The expansion is really useful. I'd have liked one more small, accessible pocket on the hip belt, but other than that it's perfect.

It did the Israel National Trail with me and it still looks brand new. Very strong fabric, it held up nicely in light rain. Excellent compartment layout.
